Something Coooool!!

Sunday, December 14, 2014

So usually my 5 year old's sense of humor is lost on the hubby. He's more of a sarcastic/mean funny, which I totally dig too, but stupid stuff makes me laugh as well. We were watching 22 Jump Street the other day, and this is a quote from the movie:

Jenko: I don't know...what you're talking about.
Schmidt: Oh, man! When you were telling the story last night, you had so much detail. The details was so rich...
Jenko: I don't know...
Schmidt: It was rich detail. Go into incredibly descriptive details of the story so that we all know.
[Jenko looks uncomfortable]
Jenko: Oh, yes. Uh...it was Dora, and Diego and Swiper.
Scarface: Swiper?
Schmidt: And who was that you choked out, man? Oh, he had it coming. Who was that?
Jenko: Boots.
Schmidt: No, man! That wasn't Boots! Boots isn't a real name. You gotta tell them the real story, man. Start over from the top! That's a made up name!

I was DYING. and the hubby looked confused.

Kid's sense of humor: 1

Hubby: 0

In other news, the kids at school have found an inhumane new way to torture me- making up knock-knock jokes during lunch.

"Knock, knock!"
"Who's there?"
"Pizza"
"Pizza who?"
"I like pizza, but I don't like chicken fries! AHAAAHAHAAHAAAA"

emoticon

So after telling them to stop telling me these jokes, acting like they were killing me, telling them they were all going to get a time out emoticon , I said:

"Knock, Knock"
"Who's there!? " they all yelled delightfully
"Y" kids giggle, tell me yellow starts with y...
"Y who!??"
"Y DO YOU KEEP TELLING ME LAME JOKES!!???"

"AHHHAAAAHAHAHAAAAA!!!" I laugh, and then they

emoticon

and then I emoticon

and then they emoticon

and then we're emoticon emoticon

Yep, good times...

When I was little, I sure wish I had had a preschool teacher like you! What a rollicking adventure that would have been! Your kids will always remember you and smile at the memories. I'm sure you brighten up their lives every single day and make them feel very cherished.

When my brother was three, I took him for a walk down the street and we passed a plump stranger. My brother said, "see the fat man walking slowly along the street." I couldn't stop laughing for a week. It was probably the longest and most clearly enunciated sentence he had ever said to that day. I have no idea what the man thought but he just kept walking!

Oh man ... y'all know I already live in a cave and don't know Taylor Swift songs and am unfamiliar with anything popular - now a kiddie show? I am glad I read other's comments and could figure out how clueless I am ahahahaha.

But I do know some lame-o knock knock jokes (are there any other kind?) ... so ...

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ~~~~~~

Will you remember me in an hour?
    Yes.

Will you remember me in a day?
    Yes.

Will you remember me in a week?
    Yes.

Will you remember me in a month?
    Yes.

Will you remember me in a year?
    Yes.

    I think you won't.
    Yes, I will.

    Knock, knock!
    Who's there?

    See? You've forgotten me already!

LOVE this!!! And yeah that movie was hysterical & I wonder how many people that got lost on...not me as Tyler has a major Dora crush and we watch her faithfully!
And I'm going to refrain from the knock knock jokes....no wait - My favorite one to my kids always...
    Knock knock
    Who's there
    Olive
    Olive who?
    Olive you (i luv you!)
'Course the ones they make up that make no sense are usually the best!
