day 12 training plan coming together

Saturday, December 13, 2014

Snack day, but I didn't go nuts (actually I did EAT nuts...but in limited quantity) and did not go whole hog on the indulging. Having a big salad with dinner didn't hurt either, it's so filling!

I pulled a workout from the "Women's Guide to Strength Training" program I had purchased a few months back, but never got around to trying. I'm still looking for a good fit for my current regimen. I think this might do the trick, although it was pretty short when it was over and done. But I picked the beginning plan, (and I think this goes all the way to pretty advanced ST, so room to progress!) mostly because I wanted to just get started and it was the first one I pulled up. I also don't want to push myself into fatigue and extreme soreness, so I think it was a good choice.

So the plan right now is Monday ST w/ Iain, Tues/Thurs jog/run to work, hike home, Weds Pilates, and Fri ST with this program. That leaves the weekend to do my grocery shopping, batch cook something to freeze for my weeks lunches, and get in some kind of fun activity with Larry, this weekend it's going to be skiing! Yep, the storms this week dumped a bunch of snow on the Sierra, and the areas are opening, including Royal Gorge, where we have our season passes. So I think the plan right now is to get out this afternoon, and enjoy the trails! I'm confident that this plan is workable, I'm not feeling overly sore or fatigued, and it leaves the weekends open for active recreation!
