Day 11 made it home before the storm

Friday, December 12, 2014

Yesterday was a no snack day, and finally the scale is slowly headed in the right direction....I also told Larry I wanted a light dinner, and he did a great job with that! I'm hoping more diligence on my food choices will get me back where I was only a few weeks ago. My digestive issues are another problem, but I think I may wait until January when I can just go see the GI specialist without going through my PCP.

Yesterday was predicted to be stormy, and I was planning on walking to and from work. So I packed my gore-tex jacket, put on my fleece and headed out. It was oddly warm when I left the house, and I did end up jogging in to work. I was more worried the walk home would be an issue, but I had banked an extra half hour on Monday, so I left a little early yesterday, and although it was very windy when I left, that calmed down, and it was fine all the way home. It was even kind of light by the time I climbed the final hill to the house!

There was a Christmas party Larry had wanted to attend, but I didn't feel like going, and he didn't feel like going without me, so we stayed in, had a light dinner, and watched a documentary called "Muscle Shoals" about the music studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. It was really good, I would definitely recommend watching it. It's available on Netflix streaming.
