Week in Review (a day late)

My goodness what a holiday weekend....and what a week last week was. I was so busy at work that I didn't have time for much. You have to love pushing 5 days of work into 3, but in the end having an extra day off is worth it. Especially when I got on the scale this morning and I'm down 2.8 pounds for a total of 11.6 pounds for the month of November! (What a perfect Birthday present that was).
Looking back my eating was very good. I worked out Thursday, Sat and Sunday. It did take me a few extra days to bounce back from being sick last Monday. My husband cooked Thanksgiving dinner with my sons so it gave me a perfect chance to slip out of the house and to the gym. I stopped to see some friends and had a couple drinks and then home where dinner was ready for me. We ended up eating around 2 and I had spoonfuls of everything. I ended up only finishing half so I covered my plate and ended up eating that around dinner time. I had pie, a brownie and some ice cream. I did not skip anything, but also did feel any guilt for anything I ate. Everything in moderation because after all I'm not on a diet!
My husband and I planned on having very little leftovers, in fact we only had enough for dinner on Friday night. This was beyond perfect because I feel this is where people slip because it's the thinking "the holiday foods are still here meaning I can eat...eat....eat". The only thing I have left in my fridge is the stuffing and a little mac and cheese....which is being tossed out today!
Saturday I went to the gym and got in my run in the morning. I didn't go on Friday because of all the walking I did during shopping I covered all my steps for the day before 11am! I was actually sweaty when I got home that day. My family took me to Red Robins for my Bday dinner on Sat night and I enjoyed a burger and a handful of fries. They had brought my daughter mac and cheese so I ate about half of that and she took most of my fries. During the movie that night we also shared a big bottle of water and a cup of the ice cream bites. I love that I can get things and share because it helps stop me from going over board!
Yesterday was another workout at the gym and then a lot of relaxing at home. I went shopping late and even dyed my hair before bed. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend!
Goals for week 5
1) Gym for runs 3 times a week....complete ankle/calf strengthening on off days.
2) Journal everything I eat
3) Shakeology daily
4) Continue to love the ME I am becoming!
5) Ask daughter daily to workout with me...don't give up until she is back at it with me!!
