Great post! I schedule my workout in my work calendar -- so colleagues know that that day/time is blocked off and it helps me stick to my plan of hitting the gym. Plus it inspires some when they see my entry in the calendar to remind themselves to work out too! 697 days ago
Organizational tools work well for most people, so sharing your spreadsheet template is likely helpful for most people as well. Just so you and others don't have to do extra work for the rest of us, there is a website called freeprintables.net that has an infinite number of organizational tools, as well as templates for a multitude of needs. I have zero affiliation with this site, but I receive weekly emails about what new printables are available. You can also download printables to fill in on computer, but access is via payment.
Thank you for establishing this remarkable place for those of us who appreciate the tools, support and encouragement we find here. 938 days ago
Love the spread sheet! Moving stuff over to completed is a great idea. One thing I do when I am not feeling very successful is make a "what I did list". It helps me visualize that the day was productive as it fills up. I use categories like self, work, home. 1310 days ago
I like the idea of scheduling a "SparkTime" to plan everyday. I have recently started using lists again. My goal is not to cross everything off but to not forget to do stuff. I look at the list and decide what can be done today. But I only do that on days I remember to look. I think having a spark time each day where I look at it and think about the rest of my day would be simple to incorporate. I may not be able to complete any particular task but I put my attention on it, decide what makes sense and be in charge of my day instead of having feeling about not getting things done. "SparkTime" I like that.
Also, I have the longest running streak of just logging on to spark people (16 days!) which I am very proud of! 1837 days ago
Thanks for your blogs. It would be great if you made a sample spreadsheet we could download and use... I am proud of not overeating and binging the last 2 weeks, even though it was an emotionally difficult time. Showed in my weight loss as well! On to a happy, health December! 1878 days ago
Way to go and congrats to snoozy too! I have reached a mile stone goal this week as well. I have exceeded my Steps Walked challenge for this month . In fact I have walked more steps this month then I have walked any other month this year (I keep and journal of my goals and challenges). 1878 days ago
PAMTASTIK Spark Guy! You have NO IDEA how much I needed to Hear and See this. As well as the "SAD" you talked about previously, I have now been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I am NOT a list maker. Yuck to listing! Again, I say YUCK.! But hey, I don't mind working with spreadsheets. Now, I think you might have tapped something inside of me that was there all the time. I am a lister, it is just that I make mine in the computer! I have really been enjoying your blogs and email, although I don't write much. Maybe like you I will have to put something down like this in my priority list. 1883 days ago

I enjoy reading your blogs but did like the spread sheet ideal. My plan for this week will be to watch my intake of raw vegetables. It is a trigger for my Crohnes Disease. I deal ok with cooked vegetables. I need a lot of my fruits cooked as well and without the peeling to keep from having a tough holiday week. 1884 days ago
Great idea. Checking in. Last week was not a great week exercise wise, but it was prettty good veggie and fruit wise. I tried a couple of new veggie dishes. I love these emails. Thanks for doing them. 1884 days ago
