day 18- 10 down, 5 to go!

Well, it looks like I'm 2/3's to my goal of 15 "no noshing" nights this month! I'm feeling good about my goal and the progress I've made on it, it feels very doable and sustainable. I didn't even flinch when Larry brought out the back of chips and salsa...I LOVE chips....but I didn't even feel tempted to partake. It's a good feeling! emoticon

On the GI front, I've been feeling more normal the past few days....I have a feeling the probiotic is kicking in and doing it's job! And I only have 4 more low-FODMAP days to finish out the 6 weeks. Now maybe I shouldn't have muddied the low-FODMAP waters with the probiotic, but I just really wanted some relief, and the literature was compelling (well, online literature anyway) so I thought it was worth a shot. I really don't think the diet is helping, since the symptoms I've been having did not change at all during the first 5 weeks, and have only started improving these past few days, about a week after starting the probiotics. So I suppose a good test will be to start to introduce the FODMAP foods again on Sunday and see how that goes. I have about 2 1/2 weeks of probiotics left as well, which I plan to continue.

The plan for today is to walk in to work, so I'll be bundled up, it's COLD out there!
