Strength Training 101

Last week I set a goal to begin strength training by the end of November.

Last time I was successful at losing weight was the first time I ever did any strength training. That was mostly because I hated even the thought of lifting weights. I was a member of Planet Fitness at the time, which was convenient for me because it was on my way home for work. My friends talked me into giving the strength training circuit a try and I learned that I liked it. It made me feel strong and accomplished. It also helped my excess weight come off faster. So this time around, I wanted to get started with strength training right from the beginning.

One small problem . . . I'm no longer a member of a gym and, now that I'm retired, Planet Fitness is a bit out of the way for me. So, I decided to try out some of the SP exercises and develop a home strength training routine that would work for me.

My beginning routine is in this VLOG. I started yesterday and I'm only a little bit sore. Tomorrow will be another strength training day and I'm ready for it.

Goal met.
