Race Site Dawn at Honeymoon Island, Dunedin, FL,
D & I support a lot of our local races! Our BFF, Suzanne, created this new race and caused a lot of excitement because of it! This year, she included a Half Marathon, a 10K, and a 5K to give everyone a feel for which will become an exclusive annual Half Marathon!
Because I would be doing the TriRock the next day, (Didn't know I would DNS due to disability), I only did the 10K. Even though D trained for the Half, she decided to do the 10K as well.

D & I started the race together. I planned on staying with her but her walk speed was killing me. Another lady, who I swim train with, was keeping up with D so I decided to do a light jog, stop take photos, jog a little and repeat throughout the 10K. I was really having fun with it, and cheered on all my friends as we shared the same course with Half racers.
I'm going to guess that D was pointing out the plungers used for course lane markers!
Coming back into Honeymoon Island from Dunedin Causeway, I ran into longtime local SparkFriend, TIAGAYEPFA! I laughed so hard when we both stopped mid-race as she said we had to take a selfie! THAT's Enjoying the Journey!
My TriBud, Brad caught me crossing the finish!
D's Official Finish Shot!
D made Podium for the first time!
I think she liked it up there.
So many of our race community attended and it was definitely a family affair!
The Blonde in the middle is our close friend and new Mayor of Dunedin!
This is how we roll!
There was a Scott Bike donated for silent auction by Outspokin, My Tri Team Sponsor. D saw it & wanted it. I put a bid on it earlier in the day. Later, D wanted to mess with me so she had our friends, Fred & Suzi, overbid me by 50 CENTS! I turned it on them and said they could have it. DOH! After making them sweat a bit, I won the bike, we just put it on my bike rack, and D had a new ride! This is after we had a good laugh!
The Bling (4 1/2" x 4") says it all!
