Claim Wonderful

Monday, November 17, 2014

A couple of weeks back when I was checking out at the grocery store, the clerk asked me how I was doing. I replied that I was doing 'very well.' I wanted to say that I was in pain and things were not so good and so on. But then reality set in and I know that she did not really want to hear all of my problems. I am thinking maybe, if I keep a good attitude that I will feel better.

So, last week when I went to that same grocery store, I had to ride in a mobile cart. A lot of pain that day. When the clerk was checking my groceries she ask me how I was doing. I replied, 'Wonderful.'

I really want to be wonderful, so I might as well claim it.

On occasion I have had a clerk ask me, 'Are you alright?' It is then that I realize that the pain I am feeling is showing on my face. I try not to show it, but that pain will contort my face.

Even when I am in pain, I hope I remember that I am wonderful.

Blessings to all.

That's a great way to look at it, and yes, you are wonderful! My mother (age 92) gets sort of upset with people when they ask how she is and she starts to whine a little and they don't seem interested. I tried to tell her when they ask that, they aren't asking for a medical report...they're merely striking up a conversation. She might as well say FINE! Maybe she will begin to feel finer as the day goes on that way! Proud of you!! Hugs, Jeannie

You are Wonderful!! The mind is an interesting thing... It will only believe what you
tell it. Keep positive affirmations going in your mind all the time.
I always laugh when I go to a Dr appointment. The check-in person always (sweetly) says "How are you?". I always respond "great', followed by a chuckle & then " I guess I wouldn't be here if I was great."
