Look'n like Christmas

Looking a lot like Christmas out there. We are getting a nice gentle snow fall. Looks like a Christmas card, and it is a little warmer this morning, it's 25 and no wind, but no sun.
I forgot to tell you that the Thurs. I had to take a pie into town for and VFW Veterans Day Supper, and hubby and I took Merlin in with us, and took him to the elevator and had him weighed again. He now is 120#, up 10 pounds from 6 weeks ago. If only I could lose at the rate he is gaining, but that is not happening. Right now I don't think he is impressed with the snow, he keep walking around lays down, get up walks around, lays back down, then up and moves and lays down. But he doesn't want in the house either. Just can't find the right place. No new kittens in the barn this morning, and Merlin's kitten was in the dog house with him, so guess that is his sleeping place, it has to be nice and warm in all of that hair. Willy also got put in with the whole herd yesterday, it went better than I thought, but of course all the rest had to check him out, and it was like he was saying, all these girls wanting me, and I could care less. Will have to watch him a few days, this morning they chased him away from the bunk and wouldn't let him eat and I had to stand out there while he ate. That is what usually happens when you put a new horse in with a herd, he will have to earn his spot. So now the lawn mare has the whole little barn by herself and a pen, so I don't have to move her around anymore. That is one less chore I have to do.
Well, didn't do to good at weigh in this morning, I did lose .6, at least I didn't gain, and my body has to adjust to the winter exercise program, I should say I have to adjust to the winter exercise program, it will take some dedication on my part, I really could just sit in chair all winter and do nothing, but is I am going to succeed I have to get up and move.
Thanks all of you that responded about my grieving friend, I met her right here on SP back when I first found this site, I think in 2010, and we hit it off and we have become great friends, even though we have never met. We wrote back and forth almost daily and encouraged each other, that was when I lost 30#, and a lot of that is because of her encouragement. Things started to change for her and we still wrote at least weekly, and then her hubby got sick and our emails dropped to hardly anything and I knew something was wrong. And she finally wrote that her husband had passed. Now, all I can do is sent her written notes, she is no longer on computer, I really miss her since of humor and her notes. Maybe one of these days she will reach out and I will be there for her.
Well, I had better say adios, and try to get in some exercise this morning. Linda
