day 14 a qualified win

Saturday, November 15, 2014

Skipped the night snack last night, and also the afternoon snack as well. So I am still on track to hit my goal of 15 days this month of not snacking at night. I think I'm at 8 of 14 days this month. Not bad...

Yesterday was an odd day, I walked in to work, which was fine, I only worked 4 hours, one hour of which was working a payroll audit. They had snack/goodies for the auditors. Muffins. Which looked great, but the loe-FODMAP diet is no gluten, so I enjoyed a banana instead. And a small bottle of water.

After work I walked over to UNR for the talk Larry had arranged. He was worried that it would be well attended, but it ended up being standing room only....so he was pleased. The talk was very engineering heavy, not my area of knowledge in the least so I didn't really understand 90 % of the content, but it was nice to see so many students in the field get to hear an expert show how the knowledge they are gaining in school can be applied in the "real world". And the speaker was very enthusiastic about his work, another good thing for those students to see.

But after the talk I was feeling very sore (from Thursday's workout) and I'd developed a minor headache. So I slipped out and walked home, did some yoga and meditation and laid down and closed my eyes. Not being able to sleep, I got up, watched a little TV, made a quick dinner, then Larry came home.

So my not snacking was more headache related than anything else.... but I'll still count it as a win.
