reaching out for help!

I have been away from SPARK for months--- avoiding anything that reminded me that I was not taking care of myself properly.
I have alot of tools a fitbit, a treadmill,numerous freeweights, but I dont use them. I have this wonderful site where i can track things- i stopped using it.....
I am at my highest weight ever...
lots of people say-- just exercise and eat healthly and thats it
but for some reason its not that easy
I find every reason in the book to put my husband and kids needs in front of mine. why? I cant figure it out I dont know
I cant work out now because I have to do laundry or make breakfast,lunch,dinner etc or
I have to clean first or __________________(fill in the blank)
I dont know why I do this ... but I do.... and I am suffering because of it. Im so tired so run down, exhausted ... my body feels like mush....... I dont feel pretty at all ...... I just feel...........blah... every day i try to pep talk myself and say today is the day or i will definatley start tomorrow..... never happens......... I want to feel better... I want to feel healthy... I want to lose weight...... I want to feel pretty.....
I think it... I just never follow through... why?again I dont know... I wish I knew so I can stop this MADNESS and start being good to myself and feel better and get healthy......

    Hang in it's a new year. You can reach your goal...just set very small goals...adding 5 squats each time you make a meal, walking around the block for each load of laundry, etc. See if you can add one exercise each week. I found that the only real way to be sure I don't overeat is to write out my eating plan the day before and then stick with it. I need to get back to doing that as well as I also need to loose about 30 pounds. I know you can do it!

    I feel exactly the same way! And I can't figure it out either. I know what to do, I have the tools to do it, but I just don't.

    But you came back here. And that's a big step in the right direction. Keep taking steps and eventually you'll get there. emoticon emoticon

    Seriously. It is momentum. If you get moving a bit, a bit will turn in to more, and more will turn in to regularly.

    Thank you reaching out to us and asking for help. Some people leave for many reasons, but you are here wanting to change for yourself. I hope you discover the "why" you are having difficulty staying on track and find your healthy place. Start small and work your way up. Commit to 10 min. of activity and tracking one day of what you eat. Add minutes as you become more comfortable. You can and you will be successful!
