Well, it did it, it snowed last night, not as much as some places but most of the ground is white, but can still see blades of grass through it. But is it ever cold. Down to 18 this morning. At least this little bit of snow I didn't have to scoop bunks before I did chore, but discovered all the waters are froze. I think hubby turned the heater off instead of on. If I remember we didn't turn them off this spring cause they won't run anyway unless the water gets down to a certain temp. so we just left them on, and yesterday I saw hubby over by pole where switch is, so I think he turned them off. I sure hope so, they can be a real pain in the keester when they don't work right. There has been many a days that we have been out there when it was 20 belowe with pails of hot water from house thawing them out and getting the heat elements fixed. Believe me, it is not fun, your fingers get so cold cause you can't work on them with glove on, and you are constantly getting them wet which makes them colder yet. Not looking forward to that.
Well, little Sassy, yes she has a name, did fine yesterday. After I fed her in the house I took her out to the little barn where the rest of the cats are and just let her lose, didn't put her in her carrying case. I watched her thru and laundry room window, and she was having a hay day playing with the other cats, and at noon when I went and checked on her, she was all curled up with the rest of them. Brought her in at dusk and fed her and put her back out and this morning she was again all curled up with an old mother cat, and nice and warm, fed her and took her back out. Will, keep feeding her for a while until I know she is eating with the rest of the bunch. So far the old tom cat hasn't bother her.
Merlin and Duke are enjoying this cold weather and have been playing all morning, except when SIL send some soup bones home with hubby this morning which they dove into like they hadn't eaten for weeks. When Merlin comes in now he doesn't stay long, cause it's to warm for him, and he starts to pant. I bet he wonders where that nice cool air went that he use to snuggle up to. He must think this is a strange place, cool when its hot outside and hot when it's cold outside, what's up with that.
Have to go to town this afternoon to our ins. office. Out old rep. is retiring and we need to meet the new agent, and now that I'm on so many more meds because of the asthma and oxygen that it put we in the gap, and I might be able to get on a different plan that will keep me out of it. I sure hope so, them inhalers are expensive, and that oxygen machine is over $400. a month. And have a couple other questions to ask her. We have all our ins there health, property, vehicle , liability, farm, etc. so they had better figure out something.
Well, got to GET to it and get our bathroom cleaned. You all have a GET day Linda
