100 days logging in and tracking food

Today I've reached 100 days logging in and tracking food. I've belonged to Sparkpeople since 2007 and never really "worked" the program before and never really lost weight before.

This time I decided that I needed to, at the very least, log in every day and record what I ate - no matter what. Last week I was crazy because I just wasn't losing any more. I was stuck for three weeks. I knew I was eating within the guidelines and I was even doing the pool minimum twice per week. I finally calmed myself down and did some math and realized that during these 100 days, including the three weeks I didn't lose anything, that I had lost one pound per week. One pound per week was my goal!!!

When I relaxed I dropped another pound!

So, even if I don't do all the exercise, 10 min per day at the least, and even though I don't eat the best, I have come to realize that I need to log in every single day and account for every drop that goes past my lips. And, that alone, will help me drop weight. Not fast, but then I didn't gain it fast. One pound per week, constant will get me to my goal on time.

So, from my point of view, no matter what, I'll keep logging in and keep account of every drop of food and liquid.

    Thanks 68Anne. I figure, use what works. If it's one day at a time and it works then there's nothing to worry about. I think I'm looking at it as one day at a time too now that you mention it. emoticon

    The way I did it was to just think about today. Not all the days in the future, I'll do it just for today. Congrats on your streak!

    Keep up the good work. Logging food at time is tedious, but I have done it for awhile now.
