If you take a look at my turtle, you'll notice he's moving at an incredibly slow pace. And while that would usually be a little frustrating, two shocking things happened this week that I'll tell you about (ohh the suspense! emoticon ).

My pants fell off. Like clean off! I have a pair of Winnie the Pooh pajama pants that I've had forever (I call them my Pooh-jamas) and I was walking across the bedroom to put laundry in the closet, and they. fell. off. emoticon Like around my ankles fell off! The hubby whooped and hollered like it was Christmas come early. lol,

I seriously need to bust out that measuring tape.

The second, not such a dramatic deal, but I realized after reading a friend's blog (thanks, D!) that I had made a comment to same said friend, bemoaning how tired I looked in a Halloween pic.

NOT how fat I looked. Or how tight it was. That I hate wearing a gold metallic belt that accentuates my portliness emoticon . That I looked TIRED. And I was. And it showed.

But Oh Happy Day! I can't remember the last time I looked at a picture of myself and the first thing I didn't think was "Oh wow I look so fat!"!! I might've been...6? emoticon

It's not like I lost a ton of weight over night, or suddenly am wearing rose-colored glasses. I'm just not focusing on the negative so much, I guess. So thanks for that, Spark Buddies. I think this is your doing!

:) Great blog--love the visual! Time for some new pajamas....maybe from the lingerie aisle? (Not that Winnie isn't appealing his own way...)

Yeahhh. That is the thing about getting healthier and healthier. The more you get into it ...not only does your physical health improve, but so does you mental health too!

And sometimes something sneak up on you and you realize, yeah ... I am freakin kicking it. Even with pooh-j's around my ankles!

Way to got you ... for the NSV...but more for the awesome shift in thinking!

Can't stop smiling at the image of your Pooh-j pants falling to your ankles! So glad it happened in the privacy of your bedroom, and that your husband enjoyed the scenery. And I know what you mean about photos. The first thing I do when I see a full-body shot of myself is to start critiquing my shape and the way my clothes fit. But like you, through the support of my friends here, I'm starting to see self-deprecation as a waste of time, energy, and LIFE! I am so happy to hear that you are learning to be kind to yourself and that the first thing you noticed about that photo was your fatigue. I, personally, did not think you looked tired. I thought you looked SUPERCUTE, confident, and a little mischievous. I like a hint of mischief, and I loved that Superwoman photo!

Well, I say! Stripping during housework? That is a rather rare occurrence, don't you think? Are you quite certain you and hubby were not lounging around drinking tequila? Cause I've heard that "makes her clothes fall off."

Wonder what Ryan would have said about that?

    Congratulations on the lost inches.

Now I have to make you a new icon....

"I was pantsed by an NSV!"

Sure wish I had been there to see those pants fall off!!! Not being bad or anything, but I would have loved to have whooped and hollered with your hubby & joined in the happy dance :) This is why I hate the scale... our bodies are changing even when we don't see the numbers... when was the last time you took measurements, by the way?

And yeah, you rocked the Halloween outfit! You're looking FANTABULOUS and don't you forget it!!!

Nsv's are the best and bring feelings of accomplishment when numbers are often a fickle friend. Yay for falling pants lol and I love that you call them pooh jamas!

Well I for one....am very proud of you Sparky! Loving your attitude and look forward to getting to that point myself. Yes I am losing but I still see to many flaws. I know that will change over time so I am extremely happy that you have reached that comfortable place. I think it is wonderful to look at a picture of yourself and not pick it apart. I know you mentioned looking a tad tired...but as you say....you weren't honing in on the bod! WTG!!! ANNNNNND congrats on you weight loss this week! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO! We all live and learn from one another, so like you, I am grateful for my SP friends and this journey we share together! We are all individual as is our personal journey but together everything seems easier. OH......and you are WONDERFUL!!!! emoticon
