After our Wii "Just Dance Marathon" last night, I asked the kids to give ideas for rewards for weight lost. For those of you who looked at my last blog, you saw an advent calendar of sorts, where I (or my kids) will rip up the numbers of pounds I've lost when I weigh in on Fridays.
So here's what we came up with. Photo...
My daughter is 16 and my son 9. So you know whose ideas these were...
15 lbs - bowling - both kids came up with this idea
30 lbs - ice skating - my daughter
45 lbs - Sky Zone trampoline fun time - my son
60 lbs - Laser Web - we are all jazzed about that
67 lbs - Pandora bead - daughter, and mani/pedi - me (and my daughter wants to join)
My husband looked at the sheet this morning and said, "67? I think you'll need something more than that" meaning he saw my list and thinks the reward should be added to. I'm all for it, but I have plenty of time to plan for that.
And my husband said, "I'm really proud of you" when he saw me making the dinner casserole this morning so I had more time to exercise with the kids after work. I realize we (me, and you Sparkers here, too) aren't doing this to get praise from others, but let me tell you, that was really nice to hear.
This is the first time in a long time that I am really jazzed about this. And I know the kids will keep me motivated, especially my son. That kid...once he grabs onto an idea, he will NOT let go of it.
All of you told me to get my family involved. You told me this a long time ago. Apparently I'm a slow learner....
