I'm proud of myself today.

Day started out with a really amazing yoga class. With the fall back extra hour of sleep I got today it wasn't hard to get up and get to class and when I got there I saw it was Elizabeth teaching. She gave me a great welcome...she told me she hadn't seen me in a while, and I, with my negative self talk said, "I've not been consistent." She said "That's ok, you're here today. That set a really amazing tone to the class. I'm always able to focus easily when Elizabeth is teaching and kept thinking "wow this is an amazing class" throughout.

When we got to the floor postures she has those who liked standing postures raise a leg, and then asked those (like me) who prefer floor to raise a leg. Turned out to be about half and half. She started to talk about how the standing postures can be so hard for a lot of us and how frustrating that can be. She talked about how she knows that to us when she says something from the dialogue like, "you can balance forever if you kick hard enough" can just seem like a fantasy.

I started to cry.

I struggle so much with the balancing's so frustrating to watch people kick out in standing-head-to-knee and here I am not even able to balance on one leg for a full minute.

I need to remember that this will change. It's like learning to walk. All babies fall down a lot when they are learning to walk. They don't give up though...they just keep getting up and trying again. Eventually they will get it. Eventually I will be able to stand on one leg for a minute. Then I'll be able to grab my foot. Then I'll be able to kick out....someday. I just have to keep going and keep trying.

After yoga I came home, did my laundry and did the food shopping among other random chores.

After that I started to work on my goal board. It's not quite done yet but I like where it's going. I'll post a picture of it when I'm done.

I thought a lot about my goals today. When I was working on the board, I tried to think not just of the poundage goal, but how I'm going to get there.

Goal: Lose 25 lbs by 3/20/15
Actions that will get me to that goal:
--walk 5x per week for a half hour
--Go to yoga 3x per week
--log my food 6 days per week

It's up to me to do the actions that will get me to my goal.

I've got this.
