Trials and Blessings and Victories!

Sunday, October 26, 2014

I just love the Fall here in the desert. It finally cools down enough for all of us and we can get out and enjoy it. I saw that next week after Sunday, we will actually be in the mid 70's. YES!!!

It will be easier to do some running outside. emoticon emoticon

My husband had back surgery during the summer and is recovering quite nicely. He has been going to church more often since he has been home recovering which is so great. He wasn't much into church, but has been coming more and asking a lot of questions.

During this time my husband had a "fatty growth" removed from his knee that was pressing up against a nerve. Just when he was about to be cleared to go back to work by the doctor, the results of that growth came back as a cancerous tumor. We were both in shock! We were not sure what he was going to need. So after many test and another opinion from a different pathologist in Cleveland, and much prayers, the test came back my husband is clear....meaning NO CANCER!

PRAISE THE LORD!!! It was a trial and it got my husband's attention. God is so good to us. He gives us the grace and carries all the heavy burdens. He knows where my head is at. It has me looking into my own walk with the Lord. I need to make HUGE improvements! I am not where I should be. I am thankful that he shows me where I need to change so that I can improve.....He truly loves us unconditionally.

So I've signed up for another 5K in January. It falls exactly on my birthday so I get to do something fun! emoticon

My mom and step-dad are visiting us for Thanksgiving this year. My youngest turns 15 on Thanksgiving. So that will be fun. I have to also make some vegetarian options this year for my vegetarian daughter as well. (That will be interesting)

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of October!

Enjoy and be blessed!

I think I learn more from the trials than from the blessings. There is no question which one is more fun.
