Day 4...silly things I do

Today's tip is get a pedometer even a cheap one ....Wal mart has them for about 5 dollars.....
I have the Omron pedometer....I have it in my robe pocket then I transfer it to my work out pants...it is the one thing I use most every day...it took a while but I found it to be very motivational....I like seeing the steps, it helps me know how active I have been during the day....
once I got use to the thing I feel naked with out it...

way back when My goal was to get 2 thousand steps a day....then I kept setting bigger and bigger gaols...
My goal these days are 20 k steps...yep 20 thousand steps per day......most day I reach that goal....on Sunday my rest day I aim for 10 k....
some fun things to do is challenge your kids husband best friend or even spark friends...
Gary and I use to add up our steps each day and at the end of the week the winner got a gift card or money.I have to say he gave up a few years ago....he never won but once and he said he would rather just give me 100 dollars and stop this game....lol I took the money and bought me the new Omron pedometer that hooks up to the computer...I now just challenge myself...

Kids seem to enjoy this challenge and I have played it with my great nieces and nephew ...they quit after the first month because I won every week.....

what ever you decide to do a little competition never hurt and one and it just might get you sparked into challenging your self....find a friend, get some rewards...and set a goal..daily weekly or monthly...just have fun with it....and to be the winner you have to remember to use the pedometer...and start walking, marching ...running...moving is the key...

walk during your favorite TV show or phone calls or march when your just standing still...park as far as you can from the store....do a few laps in that big store....walk the kids to school...

see how much fun you can have with a simple pedometer and see how motivational it can be to you....
