swelling is back

praying that the dentist will be able to help today and won't send me to the hospital.

the dentist says that because I don't have a headache or a fever and the swelling is going down that I'm doing well. However, because the swelling is hard he's concerned that there's an abscess that he can't reach that needs to be drained, OR that the antibiotics are no longer working and I may need another kind. Since penicillin is what they usually prescribe and I'm allergic to it, he wants the specialist to check me out. I have an appointment at 1pm.

update: the surgeon actually said that every thing looks pretty good. However, because it's still swollen, he's given me 3 more medications. If there's any change such as fever, I have to go back and have surgery. Other than that, I've been released back to work on Friday.
