Preparation is everything...or at least it helps.

Monday, October 20, 2014

This weekend I put together some meal preparations for lunch and snacks at work. I also pre-made bags of nuts, granola, and made "make ahead" smoothies. Today, I avoided dessert sugar and made sure I ate enough good nutrients. I had fruits, veggies and protein. I feel so much better tonight! I feel like I accomplished quite a bit and I didn't just want to do nothing when I got home. I was motivated. I am sure God has a lot to do with this as well. I prayed about my motivation and inspiration levels as well.

My goals this week are to substitute a dessert sugar 3x this week. Once I have mastered that, I will attempt the taming your sweet tooth again, starting with week 2. I am going to banish this sugar addiction because today alone showed me the energy level difference. My family needs me to be on top of my game and sugar takes that from me. That is, of course, what Satan wants too so I have to make sure that I am talking to God regarding my addiction daily; just like I would any other addiction. I also want to get back to my blog this week. I think I will start with an update post since it has been a while. It will be like Mama Natural's "In Real Life" series. I also think I am going to start a series on Habits. This is key to losing weight or doing anything in life. Habits are the essence of why we behave the way we do whether they are good or bad habits (this is a phrase that you will probably read again if you frequent my blog here or my journeying into faith blog).

Today was a good start to the week and a good start to new habits! On to prepare for day two because preparation is the key.
