Week 10 / TOT Week 1

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

So, now I'm involved with 2 challenges.. it's week 10 for 1 and week 1 for Trick or Treat!

I went on a mini vacation last week to see my niece graduate from basic training! That was pretty neat. We had a lovely time and even spent an extra day in one of our favorite cities. I was supposed to try 3 new things this week. I got two down, by trying boiled peanuts and grits. Not the most healthy foods, but I was in the south, so hey... why not. I did NOT care for the boiled peanuts. no thank you. haha The grits were actually not bad. I was surprised.

Got back from our trip on Saturday night. On Sunday DH & I went to see my mom and grandmother. They were about two hours north of us, so we met about half way and had a delicious and unhealthy lunch. haha. Oye.

One the way home I started to feel bad. And so, the last two days of my long weekend were spent on the couch. Boo! I'm still not feeling awesome today, but I no longer have a fever so I'm back to work. I don't have alot of room with my PTO this fall, since I have a wedding to attend back home next month. Need to save time for that. I have no time to get sick!!!

Since I was sick, I didn't do my long run this weekend, and also didn't run on Monday. I'm going to try a 2 mile run this evening. My long run isn't until Sunday and its "only" 8 miles. So, hopefully I'm ready to go by then. I might even do 4 miles on Friday, depending on how I feel.

I didn't lose this week, I did have a small gain, but I was expecting that, and quite honestly was pleasantly surprised that it was a small gain.

    Good for you.
65 pounds down, and you're still going strong.
