3 Words Most Women Want to Hear...

I made a "pit stop" on my journey to recovery..my husband took me shopping for smaller clothes! I often hear the joke about when a husband sees his wife walk in the house (from the Mall) he immediately thinks: "There goes our vacation and/or retirement money" LOL! I hardly EVER shop for myself (see..that's the problem, too..we as-wives, mother's, etc.,-deny ourselves SO MUCH to take care of our family; that WE get lost in the "mix"). That's what happened to me. I admit it.
Anyway, I immediately looked for the largest size that they had in the store (I will be so glad when I reach my goal weight! No more of that!). I measure myself every week so I have those numbers in my head. I pull out the correct size (according to my measurements) and BAM! Do you know those pants were "a little too large"? GREAT! Now I DID measure myself 5 days previously so those numbers COULD have decreased a tad. I bought 4 pair of pants and 2 nice shirts, underwear, (didn't like their bras...MY "girls" need Support! haha) and a new makeup (I hardly wear it). I almost skipped (yes, I said "skipped") to the checkout counter. Now, all of this time my husband hadn't seen my figure in these items. I decided to have a modeling session at home (for your eyes only, darling...) with the whole lot on.
We returned home with a lot more stuff (MEN! you just can't take them with you to the store and they NOT buy something..don't know why they talk about "us" women). After making HIM put everything else away I went into the bedroom to try the 1st (of many) outfits on. After completing my process (with my new makeup, mind you..) I called him into the room to "check me out".
My husband tells me he loves me everyday since we were children but I tell you this..nothing made me feel as good as when after he looked me up and down-he said: "You lost weight"!
Yep, those 3 words have to be the 2nd most important statement a man can say to his lady.
Believe me we definitely had a Date Night that evening!
Oh, well...I'm still on my road to Recovery but I'm moving ahead a "little bit" faster now!
"Praise The Lord, everybody" (in my Paula White voice)
