Goodbye to the Old... Finally DONE moving out of the 'old' place...

Well today started at 8am - I was stuck in traffic heading to the old place hoping to get the rest of what was left there. My daughter was with me this time. I decided to rent a truck because really to go back and forth with my car - and the distance - the amount of trips would have taken too much time and gas. So I rented another truck - a 10ft one this time and I was alone with my daughter to load it. There were a few heavy pieces and she took A LOT of breaks but we got it done. Her gf came over and she helped too - especially to unload at the new place so I gave them each $20 to thank them for helping and they went on their way to do their thing.

I returned the truck rental and then decided I would finish off at the old place so I could focus on the new one. It's been draining having to go between the two places for the past 3 days. At least now, when I wake up - it's just HERE that I have to deal with.

I spent about 4 hours cleaning up and packing up. I rented a carpet cleaning machine and shampooed the rugs that needed it (especially my daughter's room). I took pics of the old place for 'proof' in case he would come back to say I didn't leave it in good condition.

So I got home around 9pm. I have another car load to unload but that will be tomorrow's job. The last load just go unloaded here ... and I'm in a mess again - THANK GOD I don't get my couch/loveseat until Saturday. There's no room - check out how my place looks right now lol...





The kitchen has been re-done - new cupboard doors, they added a built in microwave and a mini-dishwasher. The fridge and stove are fairly new too... I love it. The whole place was freshly painted and clean. Now I just have to make it HOME.

Looking forward to posting pics of the 'after' ... and also looking forward to finding my routine - getting used to the area, my bus route to work, etc.

And now it's time to rest up and gear up for another BIG day tomorrow. I'm certainly LOGGING in LOADS of activity minutes and my body feels it - I'm sore, bruised and aching. I'm also bloated and I have decided I'm NOT stepping on the scale until I am settled back into a routine of healthier eating (lots of take out lately). Looking forward to the NEW month ahead!!
