2014 Thin Mint Sprint
Monday, September 29, 2014
So, last year's theme was "the ultimatum run" where I had to finish in the Top 50 to score a box of Thin Mints for D. This year, it was all about doing " a fun run with Gianna!" We could also look forward to a post-race Girl Scout cookie tasting !
D & I were nursing slight knee and calf situations so it was perfect to do the race "at G's pace." G spent the night so we could get out to the "Sprint" early. G's lookin' normally cute for already being up since 6am!
Lately G is all about photo bombing and ear application! We always give her the opportunity to act her age (8 going on 30)!
I also know that this trait runs on D's side of the family!
The course started in Safety Harbor Marina, went north, up N. Bayshore to Phillipe Park, U-turn, then down Bayshore and return to the Marina...
Gorgeous Day for the runners...
...and the cookies!
Coming into the Marina for the finish with Old Tampa Bay in the background!
I love races in Safety Harbor! The Mayor runs with us at Safety Harbor Run Club on Wednesday night. That's huge race security in Safety Harbor!!
I KNOW G loves "the Bling!"
It runs in the family!
We went to breakfast in Downtown Main St. Dunedin (G's choice), wearing freshly earned bling, and talked about it all! Needless to say, our weekend was "golden!"
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog! G thanks you too!
