Need new motivation to work on my health

Monday, September 29, 2014

I have not been doing well since I totally disrupted my life to go be with my sister when her husband died.
Eating all the sweets at work....
No strength training
Reduced intensity of the cardio.

Only put on 2 pounds...but, we are going into Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. I have GOT to get a hold of the mindset.
A challenge? A buddy? how to put some care and effort back into my health?

I put 2 pounds back on too. I have just decided to try and use the same motivation I had before to lose weight. I am doing this for me so I can live a long, healthy life. I am going to start planning my daily workouts and continue to track my food even if I don't like the numbers. I find if I hold myself accountable on everything that goes into my mouth, I think twice about what I put in my mouth and I have been totally blowing off my strenght training and harder workouts. That stops today. I will do strength training at least 2 times a week and I will plan at least 3 harder workouts into my schedule each week then walk the rest of the week. I am going to take control of me, not let the food and desire to go the easy way take control of me!!!!!
    Wish me Luck!!!!!!

I think you have made the right step by realizing 1) When it happend and 2) What is going on that needs to change.

I need to begin my ST again - I was doing it twice a week, using resistance bands and sometimes some light weights. I haven't done that since sometime this past summer.

If you like, we could be virtual buddies in that area...Perhaps we could check what the other is doing on SP...
