A Vegan Runner

Since my food intolerance test came back saying that I was to completely avoid milk and all foods that contain milk (eggs whites are to be avoided too), I feel as if my diet resembles a vegan diet more than anything else. I have been a vegetarian for 25 years.
My running has also improved since I've given up all milk products and today I ran a 10k race and did it in about 52.10 minutes. Average time was 8:22 min/miles. I'm really proud of myself because three weeks ago I was only running at 10 min miles. It feels good to have become stronger so quickly and I believe my diet has something to say about that.
However, as I was running up a hill today, I tripped, staggered several feet before falling on the dusty concrete with my arms open wide to catch my fall. Using my body I quickly turned and jumped back onto my feet and still managed to stay ahead of the man who was close behind me. Looking back it was comical but at the time I was a bit embarrassed. I'm happy to report no injuries and no blood. Yippee!
