I'm not a 'shopper' type of person but today was a bit of an exception. I went to a small town about a half hour's drive away that I hadn't been to before. I went to buy pottery supplies at a supplier that a friend told me about. I'm so glad to have found this place, good selection and great prices. The surprise though was all the wonderful galleries and shops in this town of 1000 people or less. The main art gallery was having an invitational exhibit and had artists from all over the US. I was wowed by the quality of the work!

Before leaving town I decided to stop at a little vintage shop that looked interesting. I used to avoid places like that when I was 80 pounds heavier. I always felt like a 'bull in a china shop' with the narrow aisles with so many things that could easily fall to the floor. Today was so much easier and when the owner showed me some jackets she had just gotten in, I found that many were in my size! Before, I was always scared that a 'helpful[' sales person would point out that they didn't carry things in my size. Long story short, I ended up with a 'dressy' jean jacket and a silk scarf to wear with it.
