Really positive things are happening...

This has been a week full of goodness! I am starting a new job tomorrow and went into the branch on Friday to meet the staff and was really welcomed with open arms. I feel truly thrilled to be having this new opportunity. It has taken a long time to get to this point-but it seems like it will be well worth the wait.
But, the most thrilling thing that has happened this week is that my incredibly PICKY three year old daughter started eating. When she turned two, she stopped eating anything except for pasta, cheese and a few kinds of fruit. No veggies, no meat, nothing. The last year and a half has been a real struggle. And while she was still growing and thriving, I worried everyday. We have worked closely with her nursery and have tried all sorts of things to get her interested-all the more reason for me to set a healthy eating example for her! Slowly over the last 8 months we have been making progress. She has been trying new foods and has even found that she likes a few veggies. But, this week she seems to have really blossomed and has had some chicken, roasted turkey and has eaten heaps of carrots and potato! We have been saying to her that eating healthy foods will help her grow big and strong. This week she said to me "I'm growing bigger, Mommy and you are growing smaller!" Indeed!
