A Really Great Family Day Out

So had a great day today. After my strength training workout I got the house clean and did laundry. Then I got my daughter down for her nap early so she could get up earlier for our outing. Then I went for a 1.4mile walk. Then I got back had lunch and starting packing up for our trip to Roche-A-Cri.
It was a great trip. Our packed dinner was delicious and filling. We walked up the 303steps to the observation deck. Last year I was literally hunched over gasping for breath before I even reached the top. Today, I got to the top and was barely breathing heavy. I worked a sweat but I was still just talking and laughing. I was amazed at what I could do, and I felt amazing. Talk about motivation. This accomplishment was huge motivation. My 3 year old climbed most of it herself to. She amazed us. They have a 3.5mile trail going around it. I'm going to try to convince my sister to walk it with me. Maybe it will spark a need in her to work out as well. Which would be wonderful.
I stayed with in my calories no problem. Even on the way home we stop for an ice cream cone and it was delicious and I had extra calories to consume still so I didn't break my diet. Woot!! So all in all it was a great day. A ton of fun, and I can't wait till we go again.
