How you all doing?

Ok it has been since the 3rd that I last did a blog. I am feeling 100% better and getting up and walking most mornings by 7am. It has finally cooled off for the last two days. In fact right now it is almost 10am and only 74 degrees and very overcast. Rain would be very nice indeed, but what CA really needs is the snow pack on the mountains. I am hoping for lots of snow this year.

My old phone finally just died. My son Frank and I went out last week in 100 degree heat to check out a bunch of different phone companies, T-Moblie & ATT just down the street, the over to Verizon a couple of miles away. We also checked out Cricket, which is new here in CA, but has been around a while back East and mid West. They use the same towers as ATT and seemed like a good deal. Frank will be off our family plan which means I could finally buy a phone and get data service. The original phone I wanted, they were out of, so I got a Moto-g, it works. I just got to figure out all the stuff because none of them come with any decent instruction booklets (like the older phones). I am a bit lost when it comes to some of the stuff. I did get FB and Sparks app and I had the lady Moses (yes that is her name along with Abraham being her middle name, her Mom thought she was having a boy and didn't change the birth certificate), at the store download an app for ringtones and stuff (current ringtone is "Stairway to Heaven". I just don't know where the one I got at the store went, I am sure it is somewhere in the phone. I have already gone back to get help the next morning. Frank already sent me stuff to download and print, to make it easier on me. lol

So on Sept. 30th I go in for out patient surgery to remove a lump (node) from my neck. It has increased in size over the years and since my Mom's started out the same way and she ended up w/neck cancer the doc thought good idea to remove now. I am sure all will be OK but better safe than sorry.

Peace out one and all.

I do hate the laziness of companies forcing you to have to go to online manuals, and do your own recovery discs for computers -saves them money, but they sure don't pass any discounts on.
Wishing you all the best with the surgery -hope they don't find anything!
I am crazy busy getting as much work done for the club as possible so I have little to do after my surgery. Unfortunately, the timing is bad and it comes before month and fiscal year end, so I will have to try get those reports done somehow without the use of my right arm once again (not that it works very well now). I am used to one finger typing, but dealing with a malfunctioning printer is another story :-( It double and triple feeds and jams regularly, and I think its because of the cheap, thin paper the club buys so there is not much I can do with that.
Took a break and am enjoying one last weekend of hiking with Mom and Daisy. The mornings are near freezing and the leaves have already turned color. Not looking forward to an early winter, the last one was hard enough -so cold it was dangerous to be outside -hated being housebound :-(
    Have a super Sunday!

Seems like all the manuals are on line now days and one has to be able to sown load them to figure out how to use them. There are still people that don't have computers so that's not even a option for them.
I would certainly have the node removed sooner than later with the history of your mom. Not a nice thing to mess with.
