First & foremost, I'm thankful for my wife, DSSECRETS, who is always with me at my Triathlons. She takes all the fabulous photos, which can be very telling about the journey. She also shows the wonderful support I have. My Sis, LEC22041, made her 2nd trip from the DC area, just to see me do another Tri! She also joined us in the Miles 4 Men 5K later in the day!
You get up at 4:00am, you hit the Tri Transition Site early, and you get the best spot on the rack! Tony was first to get into the Transition Area, I was third. We swim & run train together. This morning he shared a bike shoe secret for a faster T1 time. Love this guy!
Shortly after. Casey & Rob also entered Transition. All of us know the benefits of early arrival!
We're ready and the madness begins! We just chill & watch!
Dawn breaks and we're ready to swim.
AND we finish the swim leg!
Did a good T1 time and ready to do this...
Elvis has left T1!
Coming into T2, my Swim Coach was guiding us in to Dismount. My sis was also there, cheering me on! Great mind fuel!
Our Race Director, Suzanne, guided us in! My run partner ( & Rob's wife) was there taking pics to prove I was still alive!
Starting the Run leg!
Coming to the finish line, my Sis made me smile as she joined me! Much love, Baby Sis! Mom & Dad are proud!
Already wearing her medal, Lucy was there at the finish for me! She is a new positive friend who I train with as well! A Marathoner, she has just become a Triathlete!
I am truly blessed for everyone there for me at the finish! I love them more than my bling!
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
