6th Week!

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

Half way thru the challange! It's been a bit of a struggle so far... weight up and down. I had a small gain this week, but I'm confident that it will be down next week.

It's been a frustrating week. We've had to do some unexpected home repairs and this includes having my kitchen out of commission for awhile. We had a bake sale at work last week (great fundraiser, but seriously!) haha and then I had TWO birthday's this week. It's difficult to stay on plan at these times. Difficult, but NOT impossible! I KNOW how, I just don't always WANT to... I have all the head knowledge, sometimes the flesh is weak though. Perhaps I need to go back to popping halls in my mouth all the time. :) NOTHING tastes good with the taste of halls on your tongue!

GOOD NEWS.. sorry, this was starting to sound like a Debbie Downer post! The good news is.. I had a GREAT run this past saturday. South Texas was blessed with cool front, so instead of running in 90 degree weather with heavy humidity, I ran in 64 degree weather with a breeze. SOOO nice! I ran the entire six miles. This Saturday I'll be adding on another mile, which will be two milestones. 1. Half way mark for the half marathon & 2. I will have run a 10K! emoticon

Yeah ... it can be hard staying on track with eating when there's b-day partys to attend ... and other stressors kick in. (Having your kitchen out of commission does lead to a challenge cooking healthy meals!)

But woot woot on the running! I say you ALREADY did the 10K distance. I mean, what's 0.2 miles between friends right.

And I sooooooo like running in cool weather. That is why I have been running before work starts. I wake at 4am ... feed and water the pups. Then grab my work clothes and stuff em inna bag. The go for a run at about 5:30am. Nice and cool. A bit dark ... but it is wayyy nicer than running when the day heats up. (Today I took off of work, so did not run early. But it's lightly drizzling, so not hot! Wifey thinks I am crazy when I run or ride my bike in the rain ... but I like the rain. Besides ... its that badass thing right? Or at least I like to think that other people think I am that ... in reality they probably just think what wifey thinks.)

    Goooooo you!
