How faith fits in with my fitness

There are many days that I lean into my faith more heavily then others. Days where I need additional strength, guidance, or understanding to really try to get through whatever challenge or success I am facing.

I believe that my faith has given me courage to believe in processes, to have hope when I felt like I couldn't handle all that was being thrown at me, to have strength and solace that I am not alone and I am not powerless, to have the ability to overcome adversity and have ownership over successes, to appreciate victories in life---because life is tough and it knocks you down and some days it can seem like the biggest challenge just to get out of the bed in the morning, but having faith--believing in the love, power, and glory of something that you cannot see or know, rather just believe, gives me the ability to love more deeply, forgive more fully, exhibit more empathy and be a kinder person all around.

My faith fits in with my fitness in the same ways that faith fits in my life. There are times that I just do not want to train, days I don't want to go to the gym, and days I really feel like I am not getting anywhere in my fitness and health journey....but I believe, much like I believe in my faith, that I am exactly where I need to be and on days I need more guidance and more push, I look to my faith to give me that. I have found peace with my body and have really embraced what it actually does for me . What a powerhouse of a unit I have built with a little hard work, sweat, and sacrifice. My faith allows me to be kind to this body, to practice empathy, to be kind to others on thier journey, and to just believe in the process.

Faith goes hand in hand with fitness. Its really something you feel and how you embrace it to really understand the grander purpose.
