Weddings on the Brain

I am crazy busy with weddings both at work and I have been planning one for a close friend which is next is next weekup in CT, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised when I end up dreaming about planning another friend's wedding. Funny thing is, she isn't even engaged! Clearly I have been at work way to much this past week and need some time off.
It really was a lovely wedding, though. It was held at the Union Station train station in Cincinatti (my husband is currently working on an appeal video to save the station). It is some of the most glorious art deco architecture in the country. Since she hired me as the planner I had them bring in this MASSIVE crystal chandelier for the two of then to stand beneath. It was also from the 1920's and had real candles which created the most beautiful light. The guests were brought in on restored antique train cars decked out in ribbons and flowers for the wedding. Her boyfriend/dream fiancee wore a tux with a white jacket and looked like Jay Gatsby. She, of course, was absolutely stunning in a fitted antique lace dress dotted with just a few tiny crystals that caught the candlelight as she walked down the aisle. Her hair was done up in finger waves and you had the loveliest veil that almost doubled as a train for her dress. The cascade bouquet of white lilies was breathtaking. All very 1920's. Very Daisy Buchanan. Who on earth knows why I dreamt about HER wedding of all things!! She isn't even engaged!! Ha!! Ha!!
