Changing Plans

Tuesday, September 09, 2014

I took my son to soccer in full workout wear, fully expecting to run my track run. I got there and the football team was playing a game, in the middle of "my" track. I didn't figure they wanted to see me running around while a game was going on, so, frustrated, I left to go back to the soccer field, fully intending to sit there and pout for 1.5 hours and play Plants Vs Zombies on my phone. I got there and realized how silly I was being, making the "plan" more important than the "doing". So I got out of the car and did a 3.61 mile run down to the park and around the block and again. It wasn't what I had planned but I got in some good solid fitness and very pleased and smug with myself.

Good job!!! I know, I am such a HUGE planner and if my plan goes awry, it can completely derail me. Way to just go with it. I think life is about making small adjustments.

Way to go with your imposition. That's the way to do things that don't go quite the way we expected. emoticon
