Setting a NEW Goal

In our lives, we are constantly setting goals for ourselves in every area of our lives. My most recent one was to obtain my certification and that's been accomplished. My next big one is my move day - September 27th which means I have to get down to business and no more procrastination.

With the stress of the recent life changes I've been living - with my oldest moving out and adjusting the home life to having just me and my 13 year old and truly spending a lot more time alone - I need to set some new goals/habits.

The biggest one weighing on me is getting back on track with my health and fitness goals. I'm tired of falling back into old patterns of emotional eating/drinking and then feeling 'yuck' about it.



A mistake I make though is to dive in and decide to change EVERYTHING and it works fine for a short while - then I feel like it's impossible... so my focus this week is to ensure I take small steps to getting back on track.

Number ONE is to get my strength training workouts in!! I got my walk in at 10am and I will do my upper body ST workout tonight.

In order to keep myself from falling off my intentions of healthy eating, I will keep busy and get some more move stuff/prep done. I also have to help my daughter get ready for her first day back to school - the NEW program - tomorrow.

That is all I will take on tonight... One day at a time - I need to make healthier choices to move the ticker in the right direction.

I also have a 'goal' date that I'm aiming for... that is our Winter Gala on December 6th - this year I'd like to reward myself with a nice new dress (the past couple of years I've worn something I've already had).

I need to stay FOCUSED!! To do that - I need to keep Sparking!! Thanks for your ongoing support my friends!! emoticon emoticon
