Routine is important...better choices ahead.

Friday, September 05, 2014

Today I stayed in bed, instead of getting up for my walk.

It changed my whole morning. I feel anxious and off-kilter.

When new Sparkpeople ask for a tip, I often share the idea that honoring and sticking to a routine is an important step. I share that I make myself go on my walk even when I am not feeling it. I call it a place-holder...so that I honor that spot I have carved out in my day.

But today I stayed in bed, and I did not get the feeling I had hoped for from that.

Better choices ahead.

You were just testing your theory right?

With a new season there is always a need to push again as the weather and daily routines change. Don't let that get in your way, you've done so amazing!

To err is human. Don't be to hard on yourself. If you force yourself to do something, you will start hating it. So when it starts to feel old, day after day, change it up..... maybe instead of walking, do a dvd, like walk-away-the-pounds, or some other exercise dvd. And then when you're ready for another change-up, maybe go back to the walking.

    Keep it FUN emoticon
