SPARKPEOPLE - stop changing the format of the site!!

Thursday, September 04, 2014

I've been with SparkPeople for nearly 5 years now and have seen a lot of changes to the site. The new format they have now is HORRIBLE! Do they allow us to actually send a question to an actual human being anymore when we have a question? I tried sending an email (via my SparkMail) to support@sparkpeople.com but I got an error message saying that address wasn't valid. I sent it through my personal email and haven't received a reply yet. When I click on 'Help', I get a drop down box with 3 lousy and limited choices. The 'frequently asked question' doesn't help at all. I'd simply like to know why the navigation bar has been removed from the right side of the screen. It was so easy to navigate around the site; everything, it seemed, was 'right there'. The Start page is a mangled mess and I'm getting frustrated by the time it takes to find what I want on that crowded mess of a page.

No, this isn't an 'aging' problem; I'm okay with change to various sites but this is a headache. Someone please fix it! The site used to be much more user friendly. Not anymore.

I CAN'T STAND THE CHANGES EITHER. I can not send goodies to team members unless they have been active in the last 30 days so I have to use my own goodies. They took away all the ways to see all of your last posts to follow them easier and even getting to your page you have to hunt top right corner. I am here with you girl. I do not like these changes, I do not find any of them easier or better.

I've found some things easier to navigate around, some things are annoying... I don't like that I have to keep going back to the team page to read more blogs from that team instead of just using the back button.

Some of the changes are good (improved readability, ability to re-read articles and get points). Some are BAD. Hopefully we can get used to them. emoticon

I liked the side navigation bar too, but I found I get an almost instant response if I post on the message board for Site/Technical help. You can probably find my most recent inquiry and response there (originally posted 9/2).

Once I got used to where my favorite links are, I'm OK.
    Good luck.

Glad to know I am not the only one. Earlier this year I bought the tracker. My bad didn't actually start to use it till just around the 30 days. Ok, I'll eat it but I HATE that my profile keeps promoting it. I have tried repeatedly to get an answer on how to remove it. NO ANSWER. However, SP was responsive on returning the blogs

The only place I seem to have the side navigation bar is on the Bonus Wheel page and the 'video' page **argh!***

I agree. It's frustrating ... I don't like not having the side bar either. I have been just giving up and leave the site.

It is always hard for me to adjust to any type of change to anything so I know where you are coming from. There are probably just as many people that like the new pages, as much as those that dislike it or as many that don't really care one way or the other. My mantra with all things, especially my weight loss journey, is to "keep on keeping on". It doesn't help to get upset. It only hurts us so I refuse to get upset anymore. I hope it gets better for you as time fly's on by. Have a Fabulous Friday tomorrow. emoticon
