Goodbye August & Hello September goals

Wednesday, September 03, 2014

August was definitely not a month to emoticon about. I started out the month @ 180 hoping that I would succeed in dropping a few #s.

Sadly I only lost .2#, not even a whole #. So I'm focusing on new goals for September, perhaps a change up is in order.

*Getting to a weight of 178
*Getting 7 hours of quality sleep nightly --really need to work on this one
*10 cups of water daily
*5 servings of Freggies Daily ---another challenge
*Easing into an exercise program --another battle with neuropathy at times in my feet.

So ready or not September, here I come!

August was kind of a hard month for me to in the terms of getting rid of unwanted fat. I have learned though, that getting rid of even a little bit is better than none at all and certainly better than gaining. I'm sorry to hear about the neuropathy though. I've heard that it can be quite painful. I hope you'll be able to find a way to get past the pain and be consistent with exercise. I think you have set some great goals for this month! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm so glad to be on the journey with you to reach your goals this month, Donna. I have to work on most all of the same, so I look forward to us motivating and encouraging each other, especially with the sleep, water and exercise! Sorry to hear about the neuropathy...my mom has it, and it definitely is challenging! emoticon emoticon

emoticon on the loss in August. It might not have been the number you wanted to see but a loss is a loss ... no matter how small! You have some great goals for September. I have no doubt that you will close September on a successful note.

I've probably lost about 20 or even 25 pounds in August..... Sad to say, it was all water weight and I kept gaining and loosing the same 20 pounds..... My legs swell up so much by the end of the day, I feel like I have elephant legs.....

I wish I could loose a few pounds and know it was actual weight.... (sigh)

Good luck to you for September....

Great blog Donna. I agree with the others that even a small loss last month is still a loss and better than a gain. I am sorry to hear that you have neuropathy as I understand that is very painful. I hope you are able to overcome that and get back into consistent exercise. Great goals my friend! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Have to agree with 1Crazydog. At least is it is a loss and counted toward your goals. Which by the way are very good ones. I don't drink enough water. I do drink a lot of hot beverages, coffee and tea during work hours and really have to try harder to drink more water.

But at least it's a LOSS! Weight tossed into the universe, never to be seen again!

Great goals. You can do it.
