The power of makeup

I saw a story on the news yesterday about a young girl who had been disfigured by a raccoon attack. They had a makeup artist come out and she used a special makeup called Dermablend to hide her scars. It was inspiring to see.
I went today to Ulta and found some there. The makeup artist was great and picked the right shade for me to conceal my neck scar. It worked magic! I was so happy with the results it brought tears to my eyes. You can't even notice it anymore. She chose a color that had some olive tone in it even though I have light colored skin. It hid the bright redness perfectly and blends in with my skin beautifully.
For the first time in over eight months since my cancer surgery I can look in the mirror and my eyes are not drawn to my scar. Sometimes the little things can make a big difference!
