Fall 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment
Cardio Elip., Treadmill, stationary bike Four days a week at gym
(I pack my gym bag every night and throw it in the trunk. That way after work I can pull it out and head straight to gym for workout.)
I have worn some form of a pedometer for 30 plus years. I began with the cheap ones that were not accurate and it did not take long to find the ones that were accurate became my pedometer of choice. I normally average 10,000-15,000 steps per day. I have worn a fitbit pedometer for past few years. My goal now is to average more than 15,000 steps per day and attempt to hit 20,000 steps. It is just a challenge with myself that I enjoy.
Ride my bike around town on off days from work and weekends
Strength Training at least twice a week
My exercise is a habit of 30 odd years. I have always done some form of exercise and would be lost without it. I will say that getting on the 5% challenges has helped me to fire up the exercise engines to a happier level.
I had slacked off some for about a year and I am happy to be back on track with it and getting my sweat on!!!
My real weight issues are centered strictly on my intake. I know it is the problem however, I just continue to struggle with this issue. My diet is healthy rarely does it include fried foods, red meat, or a lot of processed foods. I have a love of vegan leanings but also enjoy chicken and fish. I understand the concept of energy in must be less than energy expelled to accomplish a loss. Why I continue to struggle with this issue is frustrating to me. But my weight is not who I am nor does it define me. So I continue on my journey of self discovery.
