Fun new way to get in more water

Thursday, August 28, 2014

I picked up a new item that is spicing up how I drink water!

I found this on Amazon and paid about $24.99 for this bottle but I love it so far.

Here is my review on the HI-Drate H20 bottle and how the bottle works:

When I first received the bottle in the mail I was super excited to use it! I hand washed it and then started cutting up my fruit right away. (A little too eager.... LOL!) My first drink was watermelon and strawberry. I loaded up the middle canister, filled the bottle with water, and inserted the canister.

This bottle is about 20 ounces but you do lose some ounces once it is filled with water and fruit because of the middle holder. Be careful when filling or it may over flow. (Yes, this happened to me the first time.) Now I put the canister in and then fill it with water. No over flowing now!

I let it sit for a while (probably about 30 min.) and then took my first drink. I could taste a little watermelon but it was a very faint taste. So I let it sit in the fridge a little longer and that did the trick.

After the water is gone you can refill with more water or just eat the fruit!

I have also tried putting my tea leaves in the canister and letting it steep with cold water for a nice refreshing iced tea. The picture above will be my drink for tonight. Orange water since I haven't been feeling the greatest and need a little more vitamin C.

All in all, I give this bottle two emoticon up!

It is a nice way to shake up plain old water without adding additional fake sugar like some of the flavored water drinks out there.

How about you.....
Do you have something like this that you use to enhance your water?

Neat! I don't have a problem during the week at work, but when I get home and on weekends, I do! I think one of those would help for sure! Thanks for sharing!

Great idea! I am all for anything that gets people drinking more water and less chemical filled crap! ;-) I buy a ton of lemons each week and I squeeze lemon in my water. This really makes it easier for me to drink more water throughout the day. Plus lemon is so good for us! Lots of health benefits. I also have a machine that adds bubbles to water so we do that every day too. Adds variety without any chemicals or calories. emoticon

Love this! I do great getting in my water; but, some days the thought of another glass of water is nearly unbearable! I'll have to add it to my list of things to get (or maybe swap it in for one of my weight loss rewards).

Thanks for sharing! A perfect share for Thirsty Thursday!
