Plan for new motivation

Thursday, August 21, 2014

Recently, even though I haven't been losing weight, I have become more confident with my body. I think this had to do with me getting some nicer clothes, and I have really wanted to make some purchases. However, I have been doing really badly on my 'diet', so I came up with an idea.

Each day that I log everything that I eat, whether online or in a notebook (I have to be able to measure the calories) I put $1 into a figurative bank...

Each day I drink the water I am supposed to drink, (half my weight in ounces) I put $1 into a figurative bank...

Each day I exercise for 30 minutes or more I put $1 into a figurative bank...

So there is a shirt that I want to purchase, and it costs about $25... For me to purchase it, I will have to hit all three targets everyday for 8 - 9 days... If I don't, it will take longer.

For all of you that are friends with Nicetocyou, I am very sorry to tell you that she has passed away. I knew her in "real life" and I assure you that the blogs she posted were true to who she was. She was a beautiful, loving, positive person and she will be missed. Please read and reread her blogs for inspiration as I will continue to do. Her name was Robin, she was 37 years old....

Good idea! we all need incentives sometimes to get to where we want to go - I know I do :)

I really like that goal you have, a dollar per item completed each day. I could add 30 minutes of housecleaning to the goal since it's been a challenge lately. Smart idea!!! Onward and downward!
