I have found an accidental way to keep exercising. I volunteer to chair the water aerobics program. I don't teach it.. but I have to be there to verify the lifeguard and teachers are there and to make any decisions. It doesn't cost me anything to attend since I have this position. Before I was the chairperson, I easily gave into excuses not to go. Hey, it works for me! There is time and effort but that is something that makes me feel good about myself.
Years ago I had luck with a local exercise class because we had a group of 5 or 6 in the class that were friends. I went 90% of the time due to them. The class would start out with 60 or more and always come down to the same 15 of us. I wish there was more of a reason for participants to attend. I have the same issue with our water aerobics program dwindling down to a few.
