I Need Help!

I am experiencing a plateau. I don't understand what I am doing wrong.

I haven't blogged in awhile, I have been concentrating on my exercise program and trying to change my sedentary lifestyle.

I am experiencing a plateau and I can't understand why. It is frustration working to overcome physical disabilities and giving 100% and seeing no return. I am trying to remain positive, but I am struggling.

1. I track my food Religiously. I have not once exceeded my calorie or fat goals. I have overshot the cabs 3 times, but it was always 15 points or less. I have always been one to get hungry at night. Just before bed I will have a bit of fresh fruit or maybe TBS of peanut butter if I am under fat goals. I am on an anti inflammatory diet. So I am consuming mostly veggies, fruit and lean meat. I drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday.

2. I exercise 30 minutes 3-4 times a week, and every day I at least do 10-30 minutes of housework. I used to be totally sedentary. I do have medical conditions that leaves me with limited mobility, but I have really put forth an effort. My heart rate speeds up and a break a sweat, so I know I am working. .
I want to note I change my workouts constantly. I change the types of exercises I do as well as the time of day.

3. I take a good multivitamin, as well as extra calcium and vitamin E. I am deficient in them.

My weight has stalled for a week. My measurements have not drastically changed in a month. Except for an inch in the hips. What am I doing wrong that the scales or measurements aren't moving? I do have a sleep disorder, the one problem I have is getting a good amount of restful sleep. Any advice is very welcome!

    If you are already feeling fatigued at your current levels, maybe your body is asking you to stay at your current level of activity? Because of your medical issues, you may need more time to adjust to the changes you are making. Sometimes pushing harder is counter productive. Gage how you are feeling. I have tried pushing through plateaus and ended up hurting myself, because I did not listen to what my body was saying. Just a thought. Take care of yourself.

    I think a plateau is a way for your body to adjust to the new body you are working on creating. Cut yourself some slack and don't discount that inch you lost. The weight loss will resume! emoticon

    I am working on resetting my metabolic rate with the KETO plan because of the same problem.

    Thank you. I will try extra exercise. I don't know if I can,I am really exhausted now! I will exchange the fruit for something low carb.

    Reducing evening carbs might be the way to go. I heard that some cottage cheese before bed is a much better choice than fruit.
    Sugar = fat!

    I read that people lose weight faster at first and that it does slow down, so maybe that is what is happening right now.. If you can add 15 minutes a day to your workout maybe that would help get you going again. Or maybe try a day or two of just fruits and veggies? Best wishes for you!!
