Whole30ing – Day 9 (Tuesday)

Wednesday, August 13, 2014

This morning I started the day with a couple of fresh eggs from one of my brother’s chickens. emoticon A few years ago he thought it would be cool to have half a dozen egg laying chickens. We grew up with chickens but it has been a long time since I have had anything but eggs bought in a store. I was a little shocked when I cracked them open and the yolks were a brilliant orange. Like what? I know eggs from free range chickens can be more on the orange side but I just didn’t expect it. They were very delicious though. I started calling them Halloween eggs….

Work was insanely busy today so meals were just thrown together. Even DH’s day was crazy. It got to be almost 7pm before we even thought about getting dinner started. Usually we are eating at this time. On his way home from work he had called and said he was on his way. Had he also said…well it is late, do you want me to pick up subs or something?.....I would have said yes without even thinking. When I hung up the phone I was kind of bummed he did not. Where is my mind??? emoticon emoticon

On the DH front, he is being quite supportive and helpful after I had my mini meltdown with him over the weekend. He was even offering suggestions and for things he would also eat with me. I think this is why he didn’t offer to get subs tonight. Thank you DH! emoticon

Wow, crisis averted! Glad DH was on board so you didn't have to face the guilt of having subs on DAY 9.

You are doing great. Do you read Bobcatgirl76's blogs? She finished 30 days of Whole30, lost 18 pounds, and is in a smaller size. Now that's what I'm talking about!

(Of course she is 35 years younger than me so that might have something to do with her success, dontcha think?) Anyhoo, great job on staying the course even when things got crazy; I'm proud of you!
