On month two with my health coach

She is having me work with different grains and different types of proteins. I have made quiona both sweet and savory. I am adding beans to many of my stir frys etc. It is interesting to experiment in eating whole foods and logging how I feel before and after.

I completed my first 1/2 marathon a couple of weeks ago. 7 miles we did a 2 minute walk/1 minute jog then the last 6 we walked. I will not lie. The last 5 miles I was trying to figure out why in the world I ever decided to do this. I am going to lose a toe nail and my hip was aching so much. However.... I am so happy that I completed it AND I plan to do it again some day.

Have a healthy happy day!!

Congrats on completing the half marathon! That is quite the accomplishment. I am training for one in November that I am hoping to run the whole thing - we'll see how it goes. I am currently running 5 miles and running 4 times a week building my base. Sounds like you are doing well!

emoticon The important thing is getting it done, not the aches and pains.

Congrats on your achievement! And welcome to the toe nail losers club. emoticon

I wrapped mine in that stick to itself tape for awhile and thought that I had saved it, but it ended up just sliding right off when I was removing nail polish. Kept it mostly pain free and stopped it from catching on things.
