Planning

Friday, August 08, 2014

Looking up places to go this weekend or things to do. Since the bf isn't good at planning I figured I'll just do it lol. Maybe next year he will make an effort to plan something but if not it's okay, I've learned to accept the fact he just isn't a planner.

Can't wait to go back to work next week! I get to start training.

Acceptance of one's significant other is such a big thing! I've been married for decades and still have problems with it. Good for you!

I live in a family where I always did all of the planning. If we went out to a restaurant, it was always my job to pick where. It became tiresome after a while. It feels so much better if everyone participates in the planning.
Here is my solution. I wrote up multiple lists of restaurants we always enjoyed. Now, I hand everyone who's going a list and say, Pick three. Everyone makes their pick and we go to the one that gets the most votes. If there is no consensus, we each take turns eliminating one suggested place until only one place is left. We recently went on vacation and did the same thing with sight seeing opportunities. Works great. Hope you have fun.

it seems to be a trait men have lol. My husbands idea of a romantic weekend is to stay home and do nothing and drink some beers :D
