Day 2 & Anniversary Redemption

Thursday, August 07, 2014

Today was my second day of orientation for the job :) I got 2 work shirts, my own locker, my employee ID number, a Carhartt tool belt, a lanyard, and as a group of three we got to take 6 online e-courses with quizzes. One of the quizzes we took earned us a pin to attach to our shirt and a card to attach to our lanyard for passing the test :) We put in almost 5 hours today and 4 hours the day before and we will get paid next Friday! Woo hoo so exciting. We will be put on to next week's schedule and will start the training process.

Since my bf did nothing on our anniversary he surprised me yesterday at 1pm with a single red rose, a sweet card, Divergent blu-ray/dvd combo, and a pink towel since all our towels are too big for me now. He took the rest of the day off from work and took me to an ice cream place I have been wanting to try called C.R.E.A.M (Cookies Rule Everything Around Me) where you get to pick two warm freshly baked cookies and a scoop of ice cream to make a cookie sandwich. I chose a double chocolate chip cookie and a white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie with a scoop of peaches and cream ice cream. It was so yummy and worth the splurge! Afterwards he took me to the pier and walked half of the pier with me. He said he has a present on order and this weekend we will go to the movies and dinner or do something of my choosing. :)
